How to Choose the Right Soccer Shoes by Alice

When selecting the soccer shoes, you need to take account of playing surface and field conditions. Some shoes work very well in some conditions but some will not perform at all. As a matter of fact, the wrong soccer shoes may cause injury. Outdoor soccer shoes mainly have three categories.

Soccer Cleats. The soccer cleats are what the most players need. They come with twelve or thirteen studs on the bottom. There are more than 95% of players in outdoor soccer using this kind of shoes. Considered to be the multipurpose shoes, the soccer cleats can perform not only on dry and wet fields but also the grass or synthetic turf fields. As one of the dominant sports brands, Adidas provides apparel and equipment for all teams in Major League Soccer. As the development and popularity of the soccer, Adidas has played a leading role in shaping the style of the play itself. Nike is a relative newcomer to the sport of soccer and leads the market in heritage and feature the Vapor, which is the lightest soccer shoes on the markets

Turf Shoes. Turf shoes are designed for playing on artificial turf ground or tough grass fields. Most of them are small and have many cleats on the sole. For those players who have had back, knee or ankle injuries, the turf shoes can disperse the pressure over the feet. However, turf shoes can not perform on a wet field. So these shoes have some limitations.

Soft Ground Shoes. Player usually do not use them unless some hard field conditions caused by rain or the plush field conditions. There are only six studs on the sole of the shoe and they make the traction when sinking into the muddy ground. These shoes can not be used for hard ground fields because the six studs can not support the player and will bring on some injuries.
